Stop Elephant Poaching!

Ten years ago, there were 1.5 million elephants in Africa. Today, there are 470,000. Many native Africans feel that it is their birthright to kill elephants for their ivory tusks -- for which they'll be paid $2,000 to $3,000, mainly by the Chinese. If we don't educate and provide other sources of income for the Maasai and other African tribes, African elephants will not survive another 10 years in the wild. Rhinos, too, are being poached for their horns.

The African Wildlife Fund provides elephants room to roam and trains community members to take care of elephants.
