In the pork industry, millions of mother pigs are confined in gestation crates, which immobilize them for nearly their entire life.

As sponsor of legislation banning the cruel practice of gestation crates where pregnant sows are forced to live most of their lives without being able to stand up and turn around, I challenge Governor Christie to prove me wrong, sign the legislation and put an end to this cruel practice in New Jersey.

I've said Governor Christie cares more about campaign contributions from the pork industry than he does about ending this cruel practice. Governor Christie, prove me wrong, sign my legislation and put an end to this cruel practice in New Jersey.

I've said Governor Christie cares more about the first Republican presidential caucus in Iowa, headquarters of the National Pork Producers Council, than the suffering of mother pigs. Governor Christie, prove me wrong, sign my legislation and put an end to this cruel practice in New Jersey.

I've said Governor Christie meant it when he told national Republican leaders and contributors, "I am going to do anything I need to do to win!" Governor Christie, prove me wrong. Show me doing anything to win does not include allowing a lifetime of pain and suffering for mother pigs to continue -- sign my legislation and put an end to this cruel practice in New Jersey.

Governor Christie, animals are creations of God also and should not be treated cruelly by human beings. Your past veto of my legislation banning gestation crates suggests your do-anything-to-win mantra trumps ending this cruelty. Governor Christie, prove me wrong, this time sign my legislation and put an end to this cruel practice in New Jersey.

I can take it, Governor Christie. Prove me wrong. You'll feel better for it and be better for it. Sign my legislation and put an end to this cruel practice. In this case, I'd rather be wrong than right.
